The Forever Dog Book

Full disclosure: The authors – Dr. Karen Becker and Rodney Habib – are my friends. They did NOT ask me to write about their book, it was my decision. And TruthaboutPetFood.com is mentioned in the book. I did not write this review to help my friends or to promote my work. I write this because the book is truly an unprecedented resource that will help so many pets (and their people). It’s a book that educated pet owners need to know about.

The Forever Dog book will be released in October 2021, it can be purchased pre-release (and at pre-release prices) now. I was honored to be asked to read an advance copy of the book.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to sit down with an expert (2 of them) in pet health and have free reign to ask them every question? What if they could answer your questions about pet food and supplements? What if you have questions about breed genetics? What about exercise? What about pesticides? What if these experts guided you on things you’ve never thought about before? What if they took their time and explained scientific research on all of these issues (and more) to you in language you can understand? And what if they explained solutions (many being VERY simple solutions) you can take for every issue?

That’s what The Forever Dog book is, or close to it. It’s as if the authors peaked into the hearts and brains of millions of pet owners, seeing what they are worried about, what questions they have about caring for their pets. Then, with our questions in hand, they thoroughly researched the answers for all of us and published all the answers in one book.

There are some great books about caring for and feeding pets that you read and then give it away to a friend, providing them with the opportunity to learn as you did. I doubt anyone will do that with this book. Not because you won’t want to share what you’ve learned…because you won’t want this book out of your reach…just in case you have a new question about how to care for your dog that these amazing authors have already answered.

This will be a book that I personally will consult again, and again – I’m confident over many years. It’s a book written by trusted experts, based on solid science, and translated into non-scientific language.

Yes, the book is written for dog owners. BUT, as a cat (and dog) owner myself, much of the book will benefit cat people too. Don’t dismiss the book if you do not have a dog.

It is my personal hope that this book makes EVERY best seller list and we see the authors interviewed on every television talk show. Again, I want to see this not because they are my friends – but truly because their message will help so many pets and pet people.
