Good gracious this product was MADE in October 2017. I give the company credit for using forthright language describing the seriousness of Listeria monocytogenes. Especially that… pets can be carriers of the bacteria and infect humans, even if the pets do not appear to be ill. And maybe language this is required by FDA. So you can see why Vets/FDA are reluctant to recommend raw feeding, especially in uncontrolled family environment when kids are involved.

Here’s the real problem though. That Lot has been out in the marketplace for a long time. And while it’s been said that there are no reported illnesses, now many times does a pet get sick, go to the Vet, and the problem can’t be explained. Fortunate pets recover, others not so much. And if you figure Susan has a following of 1,000 there are tens of thousands and thousands of pet owners who never, ever make it to this site. Particularly veterinarians. Not just about prevention (recalls) but knowing better how to treat an illness if it’s understood what caused it. The only saving grace is that these companies are small and probably don’t mass produce as do traditional corporate owned ones.
