Thanks to friend Dr. Laurie Coger – I was the winning bid for a 30 minute Zoom call with Erin Brockovich. The auction was on Ebay – to benefit veterans.
Today – was our meeting.
I told her all about pet food, what lies are allowed to be told to pet owners, illegal ingredients allowed by FDA. She graciously spoke with me for more than an hour. And…it could not have gone any better.
She understood, this fell right into place for her with years of experience battling corporations and government agencies.
The meeting took place at 1 PM today – and she’s already emailed me for more information. She’s serious about this – she’s going to help us.
I asked her if I could share with pet owners that she is going to help us – her answer: “Absolutely!”
She was amazing!
To FDA, AAFCO, State Feed Officials: you’d better brace yourselves. Erin Brockovich is digging into your ‘enforcement discretion’ right now.
To Big Pet Feed: you’d better brace yourselves too.
To Pet Owners: The battle is just beginning, I’m sure we’ll need everyone’s help as we go along – but we have someone that cares (is a pet owner) and has years of experience to help us.

My eyes are actually welling up. All these years of fighting the good fight. All the horrendous unnecessary deaths and illness that happened. All the pet parents heartache. This excites me to no end!! Way to go! After fighting these governmental agencies and doing everything you could, this may be the icing on the cake. I think Erin is the right person for this. I cannot be more thrilled! I have her book Superman is not Coming and also have lead in my water. We have been told that the lead level is within “EPA Standards”, whatever that means. Don’t think I haven’t worried about what my pets drink just as well as what they eat. This is really good news. Erin Brockovich is a power house!

Fabulous! This is something to get really excited about and HOPEFUL. I’m so grateful for all the hard work you do Susan, and now to have Erin behind you, I’m beginning to have a glimmer of hope that I won’t have to worry so much, every time I feed my dog. I feed my dog 4 different kinds of food each day because I fear feeding her one, only to find out the manufacturer has shoddy (or no) quality control, lies about their ingredients, etc, then my fur baby ends up sick, or even worse, dead. By giving her 4 different ones, if one is tainted, she will not have eaten it exclusively. I’ve had Vet’s tell me, “It’s been proven – dogs care nothing about variety in their diet.” This may well be true but, if you can’t trust the ONE food you’re feeding her, and that ONE food is recalled, you’re likely to have a very sick (or worse) dog.
