“The site, www.marthastewart.com/pets, will provide information about pet care and animal companionship, including a blog written from the perspective of Martha Stewart’s French Bulldogs, Francesca and Sharkey. In addition to articles and videos, Purina’s nutritionists and veterinarians will also provide advice on pet care, grooming and other consumer concerns. The above website also provided two VERY important pieces of information…
• The ‘deal’ between MSLO and Purina is “a multi-million dollar agreement”.
• “MSLO’s pet owner audience base is said to purchase more than 200 million pounds of pet food each month.”
At a average retail cost of $1.60 per pound, multiplied by 200 million pounds of pet food each month (the audience influenced by MSLO), well, we can assume Purina will soon see even a higher market share with it’s pet foods.
I have to wonder if Martha Stewart feeds her beloved Bulldogs and Chow Chow Purina One. Just in case Martha herself happens to want more information on Purina One products, the pet foods her trusted name is now associated with, Purina One Chicken & Rice Dog Food contains…
• Poultry by-product meal – left-over pieces of chickens not used for human consumption such as intestines and chicken feet.
