I don’t believe the company is considering this a recall, instead they have notified retailers that carry the product “there is a quality issue with Breath-Less Brushless Toothpaste sm/med item #40000 and med/lg item #40001. Specifically limited to: Lot Numbers RB 1 and Rb2 Dated 5/25 and 5/26. This affects these specific lots only.”
Below quotes a letter sent to some retailers.
“By this time you are aware there is a quality issue with Breath-Less Brushless Toothpaste sm/med item
#40000 and med/lg item # 40001. Specifically limited to: Lot Numbers RB 1 & RB2 Dated 5/25 & 5/26. This
affects these specific lots only.
“As part of our quality control standards – we can identify which companies have received bad product.
Your company is one of those companies. Our records indicate you purchased: sm toothpaste – 7/26 (24), Ig toothpaste 7/26 – (12), 8/13 – (12).
Please check any remaining stock in your warehouse. Inventory, Remove and Trash product with only those specific lot numbers. Simply emaif/telephone – we will replace the product immediately.
Secondly, you need to identify your customers that received product with those lot specific lot numbers.
They too need to: Inventory, Remove and Trash product with only those specific lots numbers. We will
replace their inventory immediately – either directly to their address or thru you –
As for the specific issue – crystallization formed on the chews which then caused mold to form. Products
from those specific lots have been sent to 2 different independent labs for analysis. The results have alerted us that the mold count is outside acceptable limits. However, there is nothing dangerous/harmful to any animals that have all ready ingested products from either of those specific lot numbers.

The Ark Naturals does not appear to have a public notice regarding this pet product pull; no information as to why the product is being pulled from store shelves or if this is considered an official recall. The offices at Ark Naturals were closed when I received this notice. If I learn more, I will let everyone know. www.arknaturals.com
Thanks to all that shared this information with me; couldn’t do this without everyone’s help!

How would the company contact purchasers of this product ?? There is no way that they could know who purchased it ! I have not seen nor read anything about this in the news or on pet sites. I think the company is negligent in dealing with their customers !! I will absolutely purchase teeth cleaning products from other companies from now on.

Amazon had contacted me with the lot numbers of four which I purchased, I checked them out but wonder how they’re going to reimburse us. I really don’t care to have them replaced I’m not sure I even want to take a chance on them again. Good luck with yours
