The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced it filed a permanent injunction against Teva Animal Health from manufacturing and distributing adulterated veterinary drugs.
FDA inspections between 2007 and 2009 found “significant” violations of Good Manufacturing Practice at Teva Animal Health facilities located in St. Joseph, MO. Under the terms of the FDA consent decree, Teva Animal Health cannot resume manufacturing and/or distributing veterinary drugs until all manufacturing standards are improved and an independent expert inspects the facilities and certifies they comply. http://www.fda.gov/NewsEvents/Newsroom/PressAnnouncements/ucm174880.htm
