Funny Story from AAFCO Meeting

This was just too good – have to share it. Just for fun…

This was just too good – have to share it.  Just for fun…

The meeting room at the AAFCO meetings was set up similar to the diagram below.

AAFCOmeeting1a

A big ‘U’ shaped table – that’s where the ‘committee’ and advisors sit.  And rows of chairs along side and behind the table for the audience.  For the Pet Food Committee meeting, Dr. Hofve was already sitting at the table when I entered the room.  The green circle indicates approximately where she was sitting.  The two chairs to her left were open.  The two red circles – indicate seats where two members of the Pet Food Institute were sitting.

When I came in the room, I sat in the chair to Dr. Hofve’s left –

The two PFI members must of not wanted me to sit next to them because…

When I sat down….they got up, gathered up all their paperwork…and politely moved to the other side of the room/table.

AAFCOmeeting3

Tee, Hee.  It was humerous to see their very clear dislike of me sitting so close to them.  I giggled for five minutes over it.

    Susan,

How petty! How juvenile! This is how the representatives of the Pet Food Institute act while attending an AAFCO meeting? To say nothing about their appalling lack of manners, I seriously question their capabilities. The PFI professes to have our pet’s health as their number one priority, yet their actions are exactly opposite as evidenced by the caliber of the people who represent them.

Now where did I put that recipe for Pumpkin Peanut Butter Organic Dog Cookies?? Cool! The dehydrator arrived from Amazon. Time to make homemade jerky for my Max.

My granddaughter ,when little, made frequent foray’s into the dog’s dish, the dog’s stash cookies in his bed and was known to take the food right out of Dusty’s mouth. It makes me ill to think of what could have happened to her if she had eaten the Purina Waggin Tails chicken jerky.
