Truth and Consequence

Last night, Casey was faced with a terrible decision: to beg in the kitchen or go outside to pee, which he really had to do, but would force him to lose his place in line with the pack. His dilemma was almost painful to watch. In a flash, he fled to the back door and went outside to pee – I’ve never seen a dog pee that much, that fast — then turned on a dime AND ran back to the kitchen to resume his beg.

When I say ran, what I mean is he literally charged! What a difference in his enthusiasm and personality now that he’s relatively mobile. I love to see him interact with our family – two and four-legged alike. In just two short weeks, he went from timid and sad to seeking attention and enjoying his surroundings. So far, so good. And his weigh in?  As of today, Casey is down to a portly 21.6 pounds.
