FDA Hosting a Virtual Pet Food Listening Session

What do you want to tell FDA?

On September 24, 2021, 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. ET the FDA is hosting a listening session “to provide stakeholders with an opportunity to share information and insight” about pet food. The agency is providing opportunity for stakeholders – including consumers – to present their viewpoints regarding FDA’s regulation of pet food.

The FDA announcement stated: “The virtual listening session is an opportunity for stakeholders – consumers, industry, interest groups, academia, and others – to share information and feedback that they feel is relevant to FDA’s oversight of pet food. The Agency would like to gather information and better understand various perspectives on topics such as the FDA’s oversight of pet food labeling, ingredients, contaminants, and safety to help inform resource allocation and any potential future policy development process.

We (AssociationforTruthinPetFood.com) have requested to present consumer perspectives to the agency. If the FDA provides us the opportunity, I would like to take your input and build our presentation. So…

Please Click Here to provide us your input about FDA’s regulation of pet food. Your information will be accepted through the end of August 2021 and then will be used to build a power point presentation for FDA.

Pet owners can listen to the entire FDA Listening Session by registering Here.

We don’t know if FDA will listen to us, but at least the agency is giving us opportunity to present our concerns. My thanks to everyone that provides input.

Wishing you and your pet(s) the best,

Susan, Thank you for this information; without you, we would not have known about this important event. We have registered as a company. See you there. Lynn and Paul

    Hi Susan,
Thanks so much for the notification. I don’t know where I would have heard about this if not through you. My biggest concern is 4D meats in pet food. I can’t add anything about this topic that I didn’t learn from you.
