To Our Valued Customers:

At our request, the FDA has expanded the recall on 4oz Beefy Munchies for the possibility of contamination from Salmonella to all Beefy Munchies/Beefy Bites sold in the past year. Please see
FDA link above.

Smokehouse sought a larger recall out of an abundance of caution. We continue to fully cooperating with the FDA, and help coordinate any returns of the above identified product.

We are confident this issue is limited to Beefy Munchies/Beefy Bites. Smokehouse Pet Product has an existing HACCP program to control/eliminate natural microorganisms on raw animal
products. We further apply drying and cooking processes for the elimination of these bacteria’s that are naturally found on raw animal products.

The FDA has confirmed no illnesses have been reported in connection with this. “Consumers who have purchased Beefy Munchies/Beefy Bites should discontinue use of the product and may return the unused portion to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact Smokehouse Pet Products, Inc. at 1-877- 699-7387, Monday through Friday 7am-3:30pm PST.”

Smokehouse is proud of our consistent quality and safety processes in place. This is our first recall in 26 years of business. We apologize for this communication being late, as our efforts last week
went into notifying specific customers & determining how it happened.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

I don’t feed any commercially made treats. But considering the problems with PF in general, I sure would worry what “leftovers” are going into these products! And when there’s a recall, would pay special attention.
