There are many “natural” ingredients which are not healthy for animals. There are also “natural” by-products of pet food manufacturing. The word natural does not necessarily equate with good nutrition.

I would never regard the term “natural” as especially meaningful with regard to pet foods, and the term is often mis-used to entice the unknowlegable consumer.

But then, having examined the Hill’s labels… I wouldn’t feed it to my pets no matter what they do to reformulate it.

Seems a bit unfair of you to pick LDP from the long list of polymer examples and then just assume that is what they will use. Seems like gelatin or starch is much more likely.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m no fan of corporate pet food. But we still need to keep our arguments fair and reasonable, right?
